YOUCAT Bangladesh: Young people pray the rosary for peace
On October 25, YOUCAT Bangladesh gathered around 30 young people to pray together. October is considered the “Month of the Rosary” in the Catholic Church. The young people came together from different parts of Dhaka for a “Pilgrimage of Hope”.
Young People Unite in Prayer
The event took place at the Grand Seminary in Dhaka. The common goal of the participants was to pray for peace in the world, especially in Ukraine, Palestine, and Israel. They also prayed especially for their home country, as Bangladesh is facing political and economic challenges.
Nil Dibra, the leader of YOUCAT Bangladesh, emphasized the timeliness of Our Lady of Fatima’s message. During the First World War, on May 13, 1917, Mary appeared to the three seer children Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta and said: “Pray the rosary daily to obtain peace for the world and the end of war.” Lucia dos Santos (1907-2005) later said in an interview: “As the Virgin Mary gave the rosary such power, there is neither a material nor a spiritual, neither a national nor an international problem that cannot be solved with the rosary and our sacrifices.”
The “Pilgrimage of Hope” has strengthened the faithful in Bangladesh in the conviction that praying the rosary not only has the potential to bring people together but also has the power to stop wars!
The YOUCAT Foundation joins the “Pilgrimage of Hope” and remains united in prayer with YOUCAT Bangladesh.
