That dream is about to come true. The YOUCAT Missionary Network is coming soon — a living, global community of young people who want to grow in faith and bring others to Christ.
A Lamp and Its Oil
If YOUCAT is the lamp that helps you see the beauty of the Church’s teaching, then the Missionary Network is the oil that keeps that lamp burning: a dynamic source of life, inspiration, and service.
The YOUCAT Missionary Network wants to connect, inspire, and equip young Catholics like you to go deeper in faith, engage in real conversations, and express what you believe through prayer, study, creativity, and community.
So what does it mean to be part of this network? What does a YOUCAT Missionary actually do?
The Heartbeat of the Network: You
You are the heartbeat of the YOUCAT Missionary Network. Your daily life, your witness, your joy bring this mission to life. As part of this global movement, a YOUCAT Missionary:
- knows their faith You don’t settle for shallow answers. You dig deep into Scripture, tradition, and the wisdom of the Church. The more you know Christ, the more you can love and follow Him.
- shares their faith Faith is meant to be shared. You lead others to encounter Jesus through everyday witness, honest conversation, and quiet example.
- meets others around Christ Faith grows in community. In the Missionary Network, you’ll meet others who want to pray, learn, and celebrate together.
- expresses their faith in original ways Your way of believing is unique and so is the way you express it. Through art, writing, music, or digital projects, you can bring faith to life in your own way.
In the Missionary Network, everyone has their place. You are warmly welcome and needed, with all your talents! Whether networking, learning, or sharing: Through you, the network comes alive!
The Heart of the Vision
The YOUCAT Missionary Network dreams of a continuous World Youth Day as a joyful movement of young people learning, creating, and growing in faith together.
Like the Church, this network is global and local, ancient and new, rooted and dynamic. It draws from the treasures of tradition while speaking to the hearts of today’s youth.
Because we are Catholic, we are universal and rooted in the Church.
Because we are missionaries, we live to serve and to go forth.
Because we are YOUCAT, we believe in the power and beauty of young people who want to make a difference.
